They refer to this as an Eco-star 1 helicopter. It seats 8 people. 7 passengers and 1 pilot.
I can't even begin to explain how beautiful this trip was. It was one of the most amazing things any of us have ever done in our lives. We have talked about this flight over and over since we took it. Below are some of the pictures we took on the flight. Between Brenda and I we took over 200 in a 50 minute flight.
Take off
Notice how thin the trees are here verses the picture above. This is the result of a forest fire. It will 75-100 years before it will look like a full forest again like the picture above this one.
Our first glimpse.
This is the Little Colorado it is the only river in the United States that runs South to North. The blue you see in this picture is where it connects with the Colorado River. In the Spring and Summer it is a pretty blue like this. The rest of the year it is just light muddy brown.

You have to use your imagination a little but this is called the battleship rock.
The spoiled brat got to sit up front with the pilot and rubbed it in the rest of the day.
Another picture of the battleship rock
This is the most photographed rock in the Grand Canyon.
The three pictures above were take at Moran Point.
We took this as we were leaving the park.
This was just a really cool store outside the Grand Canyon.
I loved the helicopter ride pictures- I can't believe the difference b/w the "thinned" out forest and full forestry. Amazing Grand Canyon pictures. Cute shots within the teepee!
